Our Mission: To provide opportunities for boys and girls to participate in a range of football related activities, regardless of their ability, in a friendly, fun, and family-focused club environment.

Welcome to the Doncaster Junior Football Club (DJFC) as we prepare for the 2010 season.  We have a new committee who plan to build on the great work done by the previous committee under the astute leadership of John Reid and Darren Antrim.  All members of the previous committee should be extremely proud of their achievements and we thank them all for their contributions.  As a result of sound management the club is in a healthy financial position as we look to further promote the DJFC as a desirable place for children to spend their leisure time.

The new committee has defined roles which will provide individuals with the opportunity to concentrate their efforts in specific areas.  This should enable us to make the most of the great people who generously donate their time to support and strengthen our club.

In 2010 we aim to field nine teams in the Yarra Junior Football League as well as operating the Auskick centre at the Leeds Street Oval in Doncaster.

We have identified specific areas which require our attention in the coming season:

• Promote the club through local schools and organise pre-season clinics to be held in many of these schools.
• Provide additional resources to coaches so they are better equipped perform their duties.  A Director of Coaching has been appointed to facilitate this.
• A significant upgrading of equipment to enable more tailored training sessions and enhanced player development.
• To build the strength of our Auskick centre that has grown considerably over the past few years.
• To continue building the mutually beneficial relationship with the Doncaster Football Club and the Fitzroy Doncaster Cricket Club, our co-tenants at Schramms Reserve.
• Upgrade the Schramms Number 2 Oval with the addition of ground lighting and improving the changing rooms/canteen building.
• Improve the level of sponsorship from the community and provide our sponsors with real value for their contributions.
• Continue to foster the family-friendly environment that the DJFC prides itself on.

Previous committees have set the standard of performance at the Doncaster Junior Football Club.  We, the new committee, are determined to follow this standard and make our own contribution towards the future of this fantastic club.

We plan to operate in an open manner and welcome any manner of constructive feedback.  Be aware that I, and the other committee members, are available to discuss any matters that any of our members feel they need to raise.

Remember, that we are all here for the enjoyment of the children.
