2008 was a big step in the right direction for us. Having won only 6 games last year, and with losing 7 boys from last year and gaining 6 new players, this year it was a much revamped Team.
We won 9 games, and lost 3 others by less than a goal!! We finally finished 5th on the ladder after being equal 2nd during the year. We managed to be the 2nd highest percentage for the year, and we were just unfortunate to play 2 teams in the grading rounds that went up to the next division!! But boys, we make our own luck.
We unearthed some really good new players; some of the older boys improved and we had a great season. The focus all year was the TEAM – not individuals, and when we played that way we were fantastic. I expect a further improvement next year and hope all the players from this year, and also some from last year, to come back and play in 2009!!
